What can I expect in my box?
You’ll receive a beautiful box containing your brand new book, along with a full-size bottle of wine and an information card about the wine, the book and how to join our online bookclub.
Are the books hardbacks or paperbacks?
All of our books are paperbacks.
What if I've read the book before?
All our books are a surprise until you receive your box. We hope each book is something you are looking forward to reading. In the off chance you have read it (it might happen!) why not gift it to a friend? Books make great gifts! Or reread the book and see if it’s different the second time!
How much is Words With Wine?
£25 per box plus postage for recurring subscriptions and £28 per box plus postage for a one time purchase.
Do you offer subscriptions?
We have two types of memberships on offer. You can either sign up for a recurring plan on a monthly (receive your wine and book every month) or bi-monthly (receive your wine and book every second month) basis or choose a one-off purchase (no recurring payment).
With our recurring plan, you pay £25 (plus delivery) every time you're due a box and this will carry on until you decide to stop it. You can cancel the recurring membership at anytime if you need to, but please do so before your charge date (the date you signed up) to avoid getting charged for the next upcoming box.
Do I need to sign for delivery?
Yes, you will need to be over 18 to receive your box (and may be asked to show ID when receiving your box!)
Someone else can sign for your box if you are out but they must legally be over 18 and able to prove it!
Do you offer returns?
No sorry, we don’t – we hope you’ll love your box!
I'd like to cancel my subscription.
You can cancel your subscription by logging into your account and cancelling your subscription.
Please ensure you cancel before your charge date (the date you signed up) in order to ensure your subscription is cancelled and you don’t receive the following month’s box.
(If you sign up on the 2nd of the month, you will need to cancel before the 2nd of the following month).
Monthly and Bi-monthly plans are paid in advance and your subscription will automatically renew after this time unless you decide to cancel.
Please note that orders in progress cannot be cancelled.

What kind of books will I receive?
We select all our books based on you! We carefully select our books to make sure they are books we would want to read, books we’d recommend to our friends and family and books we think you will love!
We have a mixture of fiction and non-fiction (mostly fiction) to ensure we cover all genres and give you the chance to fall in love with a book you might not of picked for yourself.
Can I buy Words With Wine as a gift?
Of course! You can buy a one off box or if you feel like really making the person feel special, you can get them a monthly recurring plan.
Can I buy a previous month's box?
Sorry, once they’re gone, they’re gone!
How can I pay?
Credit card or debit card. Unfortunately, we cannot accept Amex!
When will I pay?
If you purchase a recurring plan, you’ll be charged every month on the same date. If you purchase the one-off plan you will be charged on the date you place your order.
We close orders on the last day of the month – if you purchase your subscription after then you will be charged for the next month’s box.
When will I receive my box?
Your box will be dispatched from the 14th of the month.
It can take a week for all boxes to fully leave the warehouse so don't panic if you haven't received your dispatch email on this date.
Boxes are allocated in advance. You have to order by the last day of the month to receive the next month’s box.
For example, if you order before March 31st, you will receive your first box in April.
Orders are made the month before so we can ensure we have enough wine and books for everyone!
Are there any hidden fees?
There are no hidden fees! The price you see at checkout includes postage, packaging and VAT.

I’ve moved! Can I change my address?
Don’t worry we’d hate to see you miss your box! Please send us a quick email to and we can update your address.
Do you deliver internationally?
Unfortunately we can only ship to mainland UK at the moment! We are working on expanding our delivery zones!
Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?
We aren’t fully vegan but we try include vegan wines as much as possible! Please check your information card!
